Pinot Noir is a difficult grape to grow, as it requires much maintenance and care throughout the growing season. Winemakers the world over struggle with this varietal, but when done well it is amongst the richest and most complex wines the world over. A number of our vintages of Pinot Noir are award winners, making us a premium producer. Our select vineyard locations are also some of the oldest and most fertile in the region.
This Pinot Noir has been harvested from very low yielding vines, in order to enhance the elegant nature of the grape. The berries are sorted and whole pressed very gently. We then use a combination of new and mature oak to round out the palate and add additional structure. The nose is full of cherry, raspberry, earth tones and toasty oak. The mouth feel is complex and warm, with good texture. The tannins are silky and soft, making this an approachable wine in its youth.Pinot Noir is a varietal that pairs well with food because it is not overstated. Meats such as game or rare cuts are perfect for the soft texture of this wine, though it also pairs beautifully with fish or light pasta dishes.

Our Mountainview Cabernet Franc is a blockbuster. The nose is jammed with currents, black berry, dark cherry and a hint of smoke. The oak treatment includes more than 14 months in French oak as well as the addition of appassimento fruit to increase the mouth-feel. This wine is rich and complex making it perfect for the cellar.
We enjoy pairing this Cabernet Franc with red meat, game or other full flavour dishes.

Bin 95, a limited edition wine, has been crafted with hand selected, quality fruit. Made in the appassimento-style, the grapes were dried for 80 days before crushing and fermentation. Three weeks after fermentation, the wine was drained from the skins and current vintage wine was added to the skins for further maturation and extraction. The blend of 65% Cabernet Franc Appassimento and 35% Shiraz enhances the fruit characteristics and produces a wine of exceptional body and complexity.

Our Mountainview Merlot has an intense nose of cherry, raspberry, and black plum. The oak treatment is subtle giving the terroir the opportunity to express itself while the addition of appassimento Merlot only adds to the characteristic to the wine.
We enjoy pairing this Merlot with mushroom dishes, red meat, pork loin or wood oven pizza.

The oak treatment is subtle giving the terroir the opportunity to express itself, yet adds a spice and toasty characteristic to the wine. This is a Pinot Noir that can be savoured and enjoyed over the course of an evening.
We enjoy pairing this Pinot Noir with pan seared Muscovy Duck breast and duck fat roasted fingerling potatoes. It also sips beautifully with a baked brie.
