Fumé Blanc, a wine that is not very common, is a Sauvignon Blanc that has been aged in oak. With the acidity being that hallmark of this varietal, the oak aging allows the winemaker to create more structure and texture on the palate. On the nose, look for some tree and tropical fruit as well as hints of toast. The palate is outstanding with excellent texture and length making this a complex medium bodied wine.

Syrah is an interesting varietal scarcely grown in Niagara, with its taste profile lying between Pinot Noir and Merlot. Our 2017 Mountainview Syrah is complex, with fruit and a touch of spice. It has been barrel aged in French oak allowing its pepper notes to show upfront and then leading to hints of blackberry, blueberry and black pepper on the palate.
